I have been wearing this jacket almost every day since I got it. It feels light and not bulky, but surprisingly keeps me very warm even in some of the coldest Wisconsin winter days. I originally sized down based on what other reviews said, but ended up sending that one back for the next size up, my normal size, because it was too snug to fit over a heavier sweater or sweatshirt in the smaller size. If you want to wear it over clothes like that I’d say stick with your typical jacket size. 

My favorite jacket

I have the longer version of this item & I’ll probably grab another in this length. It’s boxy & a bit over-sized. I’d prefer it without the chest pockets & those buttons but… I like this on its own but I love it under a puffy, down vest!! It has a lovely, tight weave. Haven’t washed it yet but being merino, (that magic fabric) I’m guessing it won’t need much in the way of maintenance. Definitely a keeper.

Own this in two colors now, great quality, boiled wool, doesn't pill, so versatile, casual but not too casual

I loved this jacked/shirt so much that I purchased a second color. It's warm and cozy. It can be worn as a shirt or a jacket and dressed up a bit or very casual over leggings. I love the versatility, comfort and fit. 

Purchased my 2nd color!

I bought this as a gift for my adult daughter who requested it. I have not given it to her yet, but have opened the package. This jacket is BEAUTIFUL and so well made. The gray wool is a marvelous shade,  a perfect weight, and the entire design and construction is first rate. This jacket will last forever and be chic and stylish forever! The price is extremely reasonable for the excellent quality (and service)!

This jacket is lovely — but it's a little funny.

I first bought a size small and was shocked to be absolutely swimming in it. The shoulders came inches past my shoulders, never an issue I've experienced with a garment as I'm not particularly dainty by any stretch.
I returned for an XS, also something that seems crazy for my size, and it came still not fitting in the shoulders.

Looking at the style photos more clearly, I could tell now that the garment is tailored to have an oversized fit, with the shoulder line not line up with your actual shoulders. For the first many wears this was very awkward as the wool provides some solid structure and not much drape.

Two weeks in, and I'm very please with the size (stuck with XS, a size down from my normal) and cut. It's not fitted, it's boxy, it's boiled wool (upscale flannel vibes maybe?), and that's totally fine because it's warm as heck, and lends itself to that boxier shapeless silhouette that all the kids like wear days.

It's quickly become a staple, not sexy by any means, but cool IMO.

Read Before Buying!

I had to return it unfortunately.  The style and the material were as expected, great quality and very good value for money.  HOWEVER, the XS is still way too big for me.  It feels like a M (from Banana Republic or J Crrew).  I had a similar experience with the Responsible Down Puffer Vest recently for which I purchased an XS. It was again way too big.  I could not have returned it because it was a Final Sale item.  So I gifted it to my niece.  

Reviewing th 100% Merino Wool Shirt Jacket

Way heavier than expected. With sweater, appropriate for north east out and about. I bought it for cold indoors, wear it as jacket. Beautiful, well built and useful. I buy big and am happy I did.

Wool shirt jacket 

Stylish and comfortable 

I love this shirt jacket. It is simple yet stylish. It is unlined. For reference I am 33” at the bust 25.5-26” at the waist 120lbs 5’5” and I got the XS. I originally ordered a small but it seemed too oversized. Exchange was easy and it looks great!

Rad Jacket

This will be a staple for me always. It is cute, cozy, and very tailored looking. Extremely well made.

Favorite jacket

Super durable but soft jacket. I thought it would pill but I've had this a few months ago and it still hasn't. My only complaint is it's a little bit long 

Durable, soft shacket

I love this jacket so, so, so much. It is the perfect weight, keeps me warm in the winter as an outer layer and has just the right pockets. It's my absolute go-to! I usually order a medium and did so, but exchanged it right away for a small. I love the fit.

Great Merino Wool Coat

Love the color and that it has a slight stretch so it’s very comfortable and soft. Definitely a new favorite! I am a S/M and ordered a small, which fits well
