BEST PRACTICES
- Always preheat your pan to moderate heat before cooking.
- Once warmed, add oil or butter to the cooking surface before adding other ingredients.
- To avoid burning, cook with low to medium heat. Enameled Cast Iron has excellent heat retention, so you don’t need to use high temperatures.
- Use caution when touching hot surfaces while cooking.
- Do not use metal cooking utensils or other sharp objects, as these will scratch the enamel surface.
- Do not store metal objects on top of the pan or lid. Avoid stacking as this can cause damage to the cooking surface.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Hand wash only; dry with a clean cloth.
- Do not use in microwave.
- Always allow your dutch oven to cool completely prior to washing. Never submerge it in cold water, as this can cause the enamel surface to crack.
- Avoid using abrasive sponges, steel wool, scouring pads, oven cleaners, bleach, or abrasive cleaners, as these can scratch and damage the surface.
- To clean, soak the pan in warm soapy water, then wash with a sponge. Use a soft nylon brush to remove residue. Rinse well and dry immediately.
- To remove burnt residue, sprinkle with baking soda, add water, and bring to a boil. Use a wooden spoon to loosen the particles.
- For tough spots, apply a non-abrasive cleanser with water and scrub using a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse with warm water and dry immediately.
- Store in a cool, dry place.
